So what is open palm ownership? If you close your hand around something it is difficult for others to get at. If someone wants something from you for whatever reason and you have a closed palm it will be painful as they attempt to prise it from you. Fingers can get snapped, bones broken and friendships lost when something borrowed is broken or lost.
Open palm ownership is to hold something lightly. Well not hold at all. It is sat on the palm of your hand for all to take or borrow and enjoy. Open palm ownership allows others to use and enjoy what you own as much as others. It turns ownership into guardianship.
Over the years that I have run this policy I have seen cars come and go, computers passed on and money freely given in need. I have found friends who are equally as happy to do the same for me. It is an exciting way to enjoy an object.
